room of feathers
hello,
so
because i’m not a structuralist :) i’ve got a new idea – more lyric, more soft (more my?)
first question: jan or somebody would use this room where jan was last time? if not i would make there an installation…
i find my old poem (really old) and i think that it could be a nice beginning. i put it here in polish and i translated it into english, but it’s only a literally transcription.
z cyklu: w skończoności
czułbyś się źle w tym mieście
gdzie ulice są zbyt wąskie więc ciała
dotykają siebie a chodniki powyklejane są mozaikami z pierza
zdecydowanie źle
nie ma tu przestrzeni
nie można przestrze
lić sobie żeber szpargałem na wylot
nie przyjeżdżaj więc
nie chcę wcale nie chcę
from the cycle: in the finity
you would feel wrong in this city
where streets are too narrow so bodies
touch each other and pavements are pasting by mosaics from feathers
definitely wrong
here is no space
here you couldn’t overshoot
your ribs by bagatelle on another side
so don’t come
i don’t want it really i don’t want it
idea is:
- put on the both side of windows (or the space where windows should be) transparent foil and between this “glass” put some old-style thing (dress, gloves, fan…)
- in this room dump some feathers
- somewhere write this poem (on the piece of paper? of the foil?)
everything should be soft, gray and dusty. (you would touch it but you in the same moment you see how dirty it is, so you take your hand back)
i would need:
- foil (for example: http://allegro.pl/item453686358_folia_stretch_1_5_kg_transparentna_promocja.html)
- feathers (it could be from a duvet http://www.jysk.pl/4/31/39/40/4110564/a/catalog)
- tape (normal and doulble-side)
- some (6?) small torch (something like that: http://allegro.pl/item471457564_aluminiowa_latarka_9_led_funkcjonalnosc_i_wygoda.html)
i could buy it in szczecin; another thing i would bring with me.
what do you think? :)
best wishes,
gosia
ps. you can name this space “space of memory”, “memory of space”, “space of absence” or “absence of space”…
